Jan Allen

President & CEO - Founder

As a 28 year veteran working in the payroll profession Jan recognized a lack of support available within the industry, and saw an opportunity to create a company where various types of client-side payroll support could be provided on a consultative basis.  In 1999, she founded PayTech, a Payroll and HRIS Consulting Company that guides companies through change management.  Jan is committed to building and maintaining lasting partner relationships, strong company performance, operational efficiency, and client satisfaction.  She is a dedicated leader that focuses on strategic planning for the growth and success of PayTech.

Nick Buckley

Nick Buckley

Chief Financial Officer

Joining PayTech in 2011, Nick is responsible for the management of all financial activities, and the strategic direction of corporate functions and oversees all marketing activity.  He works with all departments to improve both financial and workload efficiency.

Prior to his role at PayTech, Nick served as the Director of Business Development for a telecom firm for 8 years overseeing annual revenues of $8M.  He secured an SBA loan, developed  in house inventory systems and processes from the ground up as well as sales relationships with many of the top 10 wireless carriers in the US.

Linda Moreno

Senior Vice President of Operations

Joining PayTech in 2006, Linda leads PayTech’s US operational activities.  She develops future strategies and executes current strategies that will strengthen, grow, and extend PayTech’s services and delivery to our partners and clients.  She is focused on employee, client, and partner engagement, overseeing all operational aspects of business acquisition, employee retention, and providing exceptional service delivery. 

Linda has over 35 years of industry experience in leadership, process management, HRIS, project management, and consulting.  Her background includes various HCM operational leadership roles directing projects, initiatives, and teams of consultants located throughout the US.

Karen Volkert

Senior Vice President of Corporate Strategy

Joining PayTech in 2006, Karen is responsible for developing PayTech’s long term goals and strategic objectives, including identifying, analyzing, enhancing and supporting corporate and internal department initiatives. In addition, she has responsibility for developing specialized services globally, researching new and enhancing existing partnerships and the growth of the Private Equity/Merger & Acquisitions team. Karen has over 25 years of HRIS/Payroll project management and consulting experience, specializing in areas such as system implementations, Merger and Acquisitions, system design & development, and process improvement in numerous industries to include, financial, high tech and hospitality companies such as Marriott International, Janus Capital Group and National Computer Systems.

Valerie Sickels

Vice President of Private Equity and Global Services

Valerie joined PayTech in 2007 as a Sr. Project Manager working with our Private Equity clients.  Today, Valerie is responsible for driving the growth, structure and services of the Private Equity team.   With 20 years in the industry, her unique blend of hands on consulting and management experience allows her to collaborate with individuals from the executive to the end user.

Valerie has developed a strong reputation as a leader and expert in helping private equity clients negotiate change management & the transition to new infrastructure, particularly around rapid carve-out transactions.  Skilled at developing strong relationships, she is responsible for growing and developing new relationships with private equity firms, partners and third-party providers.  She focuses her team on ensuring clients achieve targeted transition goals, driving projects to successful outcomes meeting both strategic and operational goals.

Valerie holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management and a Master of Organizational Management.

Amy Lemann

Director of Human Resources

Joining the PayTech team in 2006, Amy has extensive hands-on experience leading HR initiatives including policy design, employee relations, training and development, compensation, performance management, recruiting, compliance, workers compensation, payroll, benefits and more. Working with the leadership team at PayTech in defining and developing organizational objectives, Amy provides strategic direction and leads the human resource team to align the HR function with these initiatives.

Prior to her role at PayTech, Amy served as Sr. Human Resources Generalist at Policy Studies Inc. (PSI) where she managed the employee relations and legal compliance functions for more than 1600 employees. In this role, she conducted internal investigations relative to formal complaints, and acted as a resource for problem identification and resolution with employee situations. Amy is a member of CHRA, SHRM, and the DCPA.

Director of Project Management

Joining PayTech in 2005, Lisa is responsible for managing and driving the strategic direction, methodology and service delivery of the Project Management teams throughout the United States.  She is also responsible for developing strong client and partner relationships ensuring client satisfaction and quality assurance.

Lisa has over 20 years in the areas of Human Resources, Employee Management, Payroll, and Project Management.  She has extensive experience with all aspects of PayTech’s business and how we build trusted relationships with our partners, clients, and employees at all levels.  Her team of experts are fully dedicated to PayTech’s commitment to excellence.

Lucinda Flores

Director of Consulting and Partner Technology Services

Joining PayTech in 2015, Lucinda is responsible for leading the strategic growth, development and service delivery of the Consulting and Partner Technology Services teams. She places focus on creating strong partnerships and developing innovative and practical solutions that align with organizational culture and client business needs. Lucinda has extensive human resources and HCM/payroll project management experience in medium and large corporations. Prior to her current role, Lucinda has served in leadership positions where she was responsible for HCM project management, benefits, compensation, payroll and HRIS, talent management, diversity and inclusion, employee relations and legal compliance.

Lucinda holds a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification from HRCI and is a Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) from WorldatWork. She is a member of SHRM, WorldatWork and actively participates in local Human Resources and Compensation organizations.

Susan Wann

Susan Wann

Director of Sales & Partner Development

Joining PayTech in 2018, Susan serves as the Director of Sales and Partner Development and is the recipient of the PayTech Circle of Excellence award and the PayTech President’s club award.

Prior to joining PayTech, Susan held regional sales and leadership roles in the HCM/HRIS, telecommunications and print solutions industries. She achieved multiple President’s Club awards, earned Top District Partner/Referral distinctions and developed client loyalty programs that impacted overall satisfaction and retention. Susan holds a Bachelor of Arts in Management from Saint Mary’s College in California.
