History of PAYTECH

Jan Allen, Founder & CEO

I believe in leaving our clients empowered to stand on their own, instilling confidence while improving their companies’ operational effectiveness.  I also believe in empowering our consultants to be the best they can be so that they can all be Payroll Super Heroes that “save the day” for our clients.

In 1999, Jan saw a lack of support for payroll professionals. She started PayTech as a one-person consulting firm that provided payroll insight and support to all types of busineses–regardless of size or complexity. At the time, it was challenging to pitch an under-served market that had never considered such a specialized service. But the demand for payroll expertise and her walk-beside-you approach fueled growth and attracted other passionate and like-minded payroll professionals. Today, PayTech operates in the US and Canada with clients all over the world.
