CPHR Winnipeg, Manitoba and Westminster, BC, hosted live, in-person conferences for their members on October 24-25 and November 17. PayTech was super excited to join this year and exhibit at both events. Spencer Palmer, PayTech’s Canada Sales Manager, had a great time giving away PayTech swag. It was great to connect with our prospects, clients, and Partners!
This year in Manitoba, they embraced what makes work great. They focused on employee engagement and recognizing the people and practices that make our organizations competitive when attracting the best people for the job. The theme “WORKING LOUD & PROUD: Empowering our Workforce” celebrates achievements, empowers workers, and recognizes the value of HR at work. They examined how diversity, equity, and inclusion help create positive company cultures where workers feel heard and appreciated. This theme also has room to look at trends like the Great Resignation and Quiet Quitting and show HR’s value in recruitment and retention in a volatile market.
The BC event included keynote sessions, mini super sessions, showcase and demo crawls, and great networking opportunities. Their focus was on Technology and how it’s embedded in the world of work, from drafting documents to analyzing data. It aids in environmental sustainability by reducing paper clutter and admin work and also helps manage an entire employee lifecycle. Like every other department, HR needs tech to help optimize its work and bring value to the company.
