Colorado Biz Magazine’s Top Company awards remains Colorado’s most competitive and rigorously judged business award of its kind. The mission of the Top Company Awards program is to recognize the best businesses from corner to corner of the state across the wide variety of active and productive industries. This year marked 30 years that ColoradoBiz has honored Colorado’s Top Companies. Mayor Hancock congratulated the finalists and acknowledged what a great honor it is to be a finalist for this incredible award. After the mayor spoke, everyone was seated as the winners were unveiled in 14 categories. PayTech was recognized in the Services category along with Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck and TeleTech Holdings. Next thing we know, PayTech was announced as the WINNER! Jan Allen, President and CEO was presented the award on stage at the Denver Center for the Performing Arts in Denver.
Longtime sponsor Deloitte selected finalists for each category, and a panel of ColoradoBiz‘s editorial staff and business leaders selected the winners. Longevity isn’t a Top Company criterion – candidates are judged on financial performance, community involvement and outstanding achievement – but staying power is a big indicator of a business’ ability to survive disruption and recognize new opportunities that a changing and turbulent world presents.
