American Cancer Society
PayTech supports the American Cancer Society and has been instrumental in fundraising efforts for a ‘Relay for Life’ team who raises money for items at auction. At Relay For Life events, communities across the globe come together to honor cancer survivors, remember loved ones lost, and fight back against a disease that has already taken too much. Relay For Life teams camp out overnight and take turns walking or running around a track or path at a local high school, park, or fairground. Events are up to 24 hours long, and because cancer never sleeps, each team is asked to have at least one participant on the track at all times and family the opportunity to make a real difference they could be a part of to the end.
PayTech is proud to be part of a great cause to find a cure for cancer by joining the World Community Grid which enables anyone with a computer, smartphone or tablet to donate their unused computing power to advance cutting-edge scientific research on topics related to health, poverty and sustainability. PayTech’s computers are linked to the ‘World-Community-Grid’. When our computers are not in use, a screen saver comes on that downloads cancer research data to help doctors and patients with cancer treatments.
